Martine Marjorie Fiedler, Co-Secretary General of Volt France, humanitarian leader, and founder of Future et AL, has completed a dynamic working visit to Ghana focused on building partnerships and driving conversations around climate consciousness, youth empowerment, and sustainable leadership.

While in Accra, Ms. Fiedler met with key government figures including Mr. George Opare Addo, Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, and Mr. Haruna Iddrisu, Minister of Education. Discussions centred on youth inclusion, innovation in leadership, and strengthening Africa–Europe collaboration to support sustainable development and reintegration initiatives.

She also held talks with Ms. Shamima Muslim, Deputy Presidential Spokesperson, exploring opportunities to align national communication strategies with humanitarian storytelling—especially around youth, women, and migration.

As a panelist at the TN Africa Digital Journalism Summit at the British Council, Ms. Fiedler joined media and development leaders to discuss climate responsibility, animal welfare, and personal accountability. She underscored how everyday choices—like mindful consumption, waste reduction, and adopting more plant-forward diets—can collectively move societies toward a fairer, greener future.

Her visit also included a special address at the Ghana National Mosque, where she spoke on compassion, civic unity, and ethical leadership as the foundation of inclusive, resilient communities.

These engagements reflect Ms. Fiedler’s continued mission to bridge European policy with grassroots humanitarian work. Through Future et AL, she supports undocumented migrants in Europe who wish to return home and rebuild with dignity—combining education, psychosocial care, and skills recognition with national development priorities.

“Climate action, migration, and empowerment go hand in hand,” Ms. Fiedler said. “Ghana’s strong record in youth and women’s engagement offers an inspiring model for cooperation between Africa and Europe.”
