Engen Ghana has formally transitioned to MISA Energy Ghana Limited, positioning itself as an African energy brand led by Ghanaian executives while adhering to global operational standards.

The rebrand, launched at an event in Accra, signals a strategic shift toward heightened innovation and customer-centricity in Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector. CEO Brent Nartey declared the move reflects ambitions to become “more innovative, more customer-focused” while fueling client aspirations.

Government representatives underscored expectations for tangible improvements under the new identity. Ing. Sulemana Abubakari, representing the Deputy Energy Minister, urged MISA to advance service excellence and align with Ghana’s green transition goals. National Petroleum Authority CEO Godwin Kudzo Tameklo challenged the firm to elevate service quality amid rising market competition, stressing that frontline staff must embody the brand’s values consistently.

Industry peers framed the rebrand as a pivotal renewal opportunity. Dr. Riverson Oppong, CEO of the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies, emphasized that the change must transcend aesthetics to reignite purpose and stakeholder trust.
