Tottenham Hotspur’s high-profile summer signing, Mohammed Kudus, is still searching for a key milestone in Spurs colours after four pre-season friendlies.
Despite his evident quality and standout performances, the 24-year-old Ghanaian midfielder has yet to achieve an important feat, with just one assist to show for his efforts since joining from West Ham United.

The Black Stars attacker, who joined Spurs for £55 million, according to the BBC, is widely seen as a statement of intent from Spurs, who handed Kudus a six-year contract.
Now, after Bayern Munich thrashed the Tottenham 4-0 in a pre-season encounter on Thursday, Thomas Frank’s men are preparing for a crucial upcoming fixture: a UEFA Super Cup clash with Paris Saint-Germain, with the former Ajax midfielder expected to feature.
Kudus’ Tottenham debut against Reading
Mohammed Kudus made his official debut for Tottenham in their 2-0 win over Reading on July 19, 2025. The former Ajax and West Ham star looked lively and sharp, linking well with his new teammates.
He assisted the opening goal of the game, showing glimpses of the creativity Spurs fans hope will define his tenure at the club.
However, that match remains his most productive contribution in terms of direct goal involvement.
Since then, Kudus has featured in three more games against Luton Town, Arsenal, and Newcastle United, without adding to his tally.
According to TBR Football, Tottenham manager Thomas Frank singled out the Ghanaian player for praise following the win against Arsenal.

The Nima-born footballer is yet to score his debut Tottenham Hotspur goal. However, despite his lack of goals, Kudus has earned praise for his intelligent movement, ball control, and work rate.
His ability to glide past defenders and open up space has helped Tottenham maintain fluidity in attack during their pre-season campaign.
For instance, in the North London derby against Arsenal, Kudus was arguably Spurs’ best player on the pitch, even though the game ended in a draw.
“I thought Kudus was excellent today. His hold-up play stood out. The way he keeps possession in tight spaces is impressive. His one-on-one ability and creativity in the final third were top-class.
“What’s just as important is how hard he’s working. There was a moment after a set piece where he sprinted all the way back to win the ball — that kind of effort makes a real difference.
“He’s the kind of player who excites fans going forward, but he’s also proving he can contribute defensively. He brings a lot to this team.” Thomas Frank said.

With Tottenham losing to Bayern Munich on August 7 and Mohammed Kudus failing to shine against the German giants, Spurs now face Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup on August 13.
Scoring in the UEFA Super Cup 2025 would be the perfect way for the former West Ham United playmaker to announce himself to the Spurs faithful on a grand stage.
With his attacking instincts and ability to thrive under pressure, it wouldn’t be a surprise if his first goal came in one of these high-profile fixtures.
Meanwhile, Tottenham fans are eager to see Kudus score his debut goal for the club ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season.
Kudus nearly scores first Tottenham goal
Mohammed Kudus came agonisingly close to opening his goal account for Tottenham during their pre-season clash with Luton Town.
In a tense 0-0 draw, the Ghana international beat the goalkeeper with a fierce strike, only for a defender to clear it off the line.
While the match lacked attacking fireworks, Kudus provided one of Spurs’ brightest moments, showcasing his sharp instincts and ability to create danger out of tight situations.
His quick footwork and intelligent positioning consistently stretched the Luton defence, proving he remains a key attacking outlet even when the final touch eludes him.
