In just two Premier League appearances, the Ghanaian has set up two goals and thrilled supporters with dazzling dribbles that have quickly made him a player to watch.
Although his first Spurs goal is still pending, his influence is already undeniable.
Mohammed Kudus’ pre-match rituals
As Tottenham prepared for their Premier League clash against Antoine Semenyo’s Bournemouth, Kudus arrived at the stadium looking composed in a club-branded cardigan.
Yet one detail caught everyone’s attention. In his right hand, along with a small handbag, he carried a wine-coloured prayer mat.
The 25-year-old remains deeply grounded in his spirituality. A practising Muslim, he never hides his commitment to prayer.
On matchdays, he often brings his mat with him, taking time to pray either before kick-off or after the final whistle, depending on the schedule. For him, football and faith walk hand in hand.
Kudus’ actions serve as a reminder that players are more than the goals they score or the assists they provide.
During his stint at West Ham, the Nima-born forward explained the importance of prayer and the place of prayer in his routine before games.
“I always get a quiet space in our stadium, and whenever we go to an away stadium, they always find a space for me. It’s important as it’s something I hold in high regard,” he added.
His quiet commitment to Islam, displayed openly and without hesitation, reflects a man who carries his beliefs wherever he goes.
With the season still in its early stages, Spurs fans are not only looking forward to more magical moments from Kudus on the field but are also appreciating the person he is off it.
