Ghanaian singer Moliy has been named Billboard Africa’s Hitmaker of the Year for 2025, a recognition that celebrates her growing impact on the global music scene.
The announcement was confirmed on the official Billboard Hitmaker Africa page.
Billboard highlighted Moliy’s steady rise, noting how she captured worldwide attention with her debut EP Wondergirl and later gained massive global momentum through her standout feature on Amaarae’s “Sad Girlz Luv Money,” which entered the Billboard Hot 100 and became a cultural anthem.

Her defining moment came with the Afro-dancehall smash “Shake It To The Max (FLY),” which dominated charts, spent over six weeks at No.1 on the Billboard U.S.
