The National Communications Authority (NCA) disclosed that MultiChoice Ghana has pledged to participate in the Stakeholder Committee to evaluate DSTV’s pricing structure in the country.
The NCA added that Multichoice Ghana also responded to the regulator’s intention to suspend the company’s authorisation.

In a statement, the NCA said that while reviewing MultiChoice’s response, there have been other engagements after the DStv owners made a public statement on Friday, September 5, 2025.
The said engagement saw MultiChoice clarify its stance on the issue. They agreed to work with the Stakeholder Committee and respect the laws of Ghana and its people.

“MultiChoice Ghana agrees with the directive from the Honourable Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations for the establishment of the Stakeholder Committee to evaluate DSTV pricing in Ghana and that they intend to fully participate in this work.”
“The outcome of the Stakeholder Committee would be determined at the end of its work.”
“MultiChoice has confirmed that it will respect due process and the laws of Ghana and its people.”
The NCA added that the Stakeholder Committee would hold its first meeting on Monday, September 8, 2025.
The NCA finally indicated that it will make the public aware of any new developments on the matter in due course.
