In a video spotted on TikTok, Simon Nartey made a passionate and desperate plea to the government, while highlighting the level of hardship new teachers are facing.

He disclosed that they lack basic necessities, even a place to sleep, and have had to purchase items like mattresses on credit. Nartey questioned how they are expected to return to the classroom and teach effectively while living under such dire circumstances, unable to support their families.
The group, however, said they remain hopeful for government intervention but insisted their planned protest on September 23, 2025, will go ahead if immediate steps are not taken to address their plight.

The mother cooked a variety of meals and purchased drinks, which were delivered to the teachers by the newly elected prefect and his fellow students.
The teachers, who were not expecting such a thoughtful surprise, expressed their joy and appreciation.
