The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has reportedly launched an investigation into sexual assault allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs, already serving a prison sentence for federal Mann Act convictions, per ABC News.
The investigation stems from a report filed by music producer Jonathan Hay, who alleges that Combs sexually assaulted him on two separate occasions in 2020 and 2021. Hay, who once identified himself as the complainant in social media posts (since deleted) and as one of the anonymous plaintiffs in a prior civil lawsuit against Combs, detailed the claims in a report to the Largo Police Department in Florida, where he lives.
According to the allegations, the first incident occurred in February 2020, when Combs allegedly pleasured himself in front of Hay and asked him to “finish him off.” Hay claims a second assault took place in March 2021, during which Combs blindfolded him and forced his penis into Hay’s mouth multiple times (this is also described in the civil suit).

The Florida police department forwarded the report to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Victims Bureau on Friday, prompting the reported investigation, originally reported by ABC. A spokesperson for the Largo Police Department confirmed they assisted the East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Office but are not conducting an independent probe into any alleged crimes.
Hay told investigators he provided photos and videos documenting his collaboration with CJ Wallace, the son of the late rapper Christopher Wallace (The Notorious BIG), on a music project. Hay said that collaboration led to his introduction to Combs and the alleged assaults. In an exclusive statement to Los Angeles, Jonathan Hay said, “Now that the LA County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Victims Bureau is involved, Sean Combs, CJ Wallace and Willie Mack are starting to face the music. I encourage all victims to stand up, get loud and fight for justice. We are being heard!”
In a counterclaim filed last week in Florida, CJ Wallace denied Hay’s allegations, describing them as a “calculated smear campaign” aimed at damaging his reputation. Wallace’s filing seeks a jury trial along with compensatory and punitive damages.
Jonathan Davis, Combs’ Civil Attorney issued the following statement:
“As Mr. Combs’ legal team has repeatedly stated for over a year now, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a media circus,” the statement said. “Let me make it absolutely clear, Mr. Combs categorically denies as false and defamatory all claims that he sexually abused anyone. He looks forward to vindicating himself in court, where such matters are decided — and not in the media — based on admissible, material evidence, not rank speculation and unsubstantiated allegations.”
