According to reports from Pure FM Online, investigations unveiled that the Ofie Nipa hitmaker’s mother, Madam Cecilia Atootaga, had allegedly abandoned him at the Willingway Foundation-Ghana Recovery Centre at Ejisu-Asawasi despite him completing his rehabilitation program.

Okomfo Kwadee has been stranded at the rehabilitation centre for a while due to unpaid medical bills amounting to GH₵7,000, which his mother has reportedly refused to pay to secure his return home after he recovered from his health issues.

Further investigations also uncovered that the embattled hiplife musician’s mother had allegedly misappropriated the large funds she received as donations from Ghanaians with the support of media personality Ohemaa Woyeje, who helped lead a campaign to solicit financial support for the rapper in March 2025.

Madam Cecilia Atootaga has allegedly not paid for Okomfo Kwadee’s medical bills, food, clothing, toiletries, or any personal upkeep since he was admitted to the Willingway Foundation-Ghana Recovery Centre several months ago.

She is also alleged to have suggested to some family members that her son remain in rehab for most of his life and proposed that he be moved to another rehabilitation centre at Kwadaso, which has poor conditions.

Officials at the Willingway Foundation-Ghana reportedly confirmed to Pure FM Online that the hiplife musician was no longer staying at the facility due to medical reasons.
