The Kumawood actor visited the embattled hiplife legend at the Willingway Rehab Centre in Kumasi.

In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, the two stars were seen recounting Okomfour Kwadee’s good old days.

Kwadee attempted singing one of his hottest hiplife jams, Ataa Adwoa as they talked about his legacy.

A year ago, videos of the veteran hiplife star looking lean and dejected stoked concerns among Ghanaian music lovers.

The rapper has been in a decade-long battle with mental health issues reportedly caused by substance abuse in his heyday.

Scores of Ghanaians, on seeing the current video of him looking fit and healthy, were impressed.

They praised the Ofie Nipa hitmaker and also hailed Kwaku Manu, who has maintained a consistent interest in facilitating the veteran rapper’s resurgence.

The video comes after Kwaku Manu and Funny Face launched a high school tour to create awareness on substance abuse.

It’s unclear whether Kwaku Manu is planning to enlist Okomfour Kwadee on the tour.

Okomfour Kwadee, now in his late 40s, was one of Ghana’s brightest stars in the early 2000s.

His eight-track debut album with songs like Aboro ne Bayie and Ataa Adwoa was an instant hit.

Some of Ghana’s most successful superstars, including Sarkodie and Fameye, have named him as their inspiration in music.
