Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, welcomed the leadership of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the Ghana School of Law to the Ashanti Regional Co-ordinating Council (ARCC).
The discussion between Otumfuo’s son, Nana Opoku Ware II, who is also the SRC President of the Ghana Law School and Dr Frank Amoakohene centred on the future of legal education in Ghana.

In a statement following the meeting, Dr Amoakohene expressed his admiration for the SRC’s proactive approach and their engagement with regional leadership on matters of national importance.
“Our discussions centred on the vital role of legal education in shaping the future of our justice system and how young lawyers can contribute to national development,” the Minister said in a Facebook post.
“I commend the SRC for their forward-looking leadership and assure them of the government’s commitment to supporting legal education and creating opportunities for the next generation of legal professionals.”
The SRC President, Nana Opoku Ware, emphasised the need for sustained investment in legal infrastructure, academic resources, and mentorship opportunities for law students.
He also highlighted the potential for deeper collaboration between law students and public institutions to improve access to justice across the country.
Dr. Amoakohene concluded by reaffirming the government’s support for initiatives that empower future legal practitioners, stating,
“Together, we will build a fairer, stronger, and more just Ghana,” he said.
