Popular American YouTuber IShowSpeed Spotted in Black Stars Jersey, Says He’s Got Family in Ghana

Famous American streamer, Darren Jason Watkins Jr, popularly called IShowSpeed, was seen rocking a Black Stars jersey during one of his online shows.

The YouTuber wore the yellow jersey of Ghana’s Senior national team, the Black Stars, and matched it with a yellow cap.

IShowSpeed wore the jersey on day 2 of his 35-day nonstop livestream tour across the United States.

In a viral video on social media, IShowSpeed was seen on a phone call, speaking excitedly while wearing the jersey.

The video has warmed the hearts of many Ghanaians online, who praised him for showcasing the Black Stars jersey to his vast global audience.

Speed, who is a die-hard fan of legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, has recently been streaming football matches, particularly during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

His appearance in the Black Stars jersey comes just days before Ghana resumes its 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign in September 2025, with matches lined up against Chad and Mali.

In a separate video on X, Speed said he has family in Ghana. He added that one of his uncles is a traditional ruler in Ghana. He did not mention his uncle’s name or state which traditional area he oversees in Ghana

“I’ve got family in Ghana. My uncle was the king of one of the tribes in Ghana,” Speed said
