Prof Opoku-Agyemang Enstooled as a Traditional Leader for Her Contribution to National Development

The Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has been enstooled as a traditional leader by the chiefs and people of the Komenda Traditional Area in the Central Region.

Prof Opoku-Agyemang was given the stool name Owoabrempong Kru-Kow I after she was enstooled.

The enstoolment happened on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the 2025 Komendaman Nyeyi Festival.

The new stool name, Owoabrempong Kru-Kow I, was given to her as a way of honouring and recognising Prof Opoku-Agyemang’s contributions to education, national development, and her commitment to the values of leadership and service.

Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang was adorned with a kente cloth over the attire she was wearing to signify the enstoolment.

The 2025 Komendaman Nyeyi Festival was marked by rich cultural displays, traditional drumming, and dance.

The people of Komeda who were present for the durbar were excited about the enstoolment of Prof Opoku-Agyemang.

The chiefs applauded the Vice President for her stellar effort in improving the lives of Ghanaians. They were hopeful that Prof Opoku-Agyemang’s enstoolment would help strengthen the relationship between the government and traditional authorities.
