Ralph St. Williams, a controversial Ghanaian social activist, has summoned the leadership of the Ghana Registered Nurses’ and Midwives’ Association (GRNMA) and some officials of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, popularly known as Ridge Hospital, to the gods for “lying” against him.
During a live Facebook session on Sunday morning, September 14, 2025, the social activist cursed the GRNMA, especially its General Secretary, Dr David Tenkorang-Twum, and Rejoice Tsotsoo Bortei, the nurse who accused him of assaulting her.

He also cursed Sarah Danquah, the spokesperson for nurses at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, for also claiming that she has a video of him attacking a pregnant nurse.
In the Facebook live video sighted by YEN.com.gh, Ralph St. Williams was seen pouring libation as he summoned the GRNMA leadership, Rejoice Tsotsoo, and Ridge nurses PRO to the gods.

The Ralph vs Ridge Hospital Controversy
Ralph St. Williams found himself at the centre of a heated controversy following his altercation with nurses at the Ridge Hospital.
On Sunday, August 17, 2025, a viral video emerged where the outspoken activist was captured in a heated confrontation with nurses at the emergency unit of Ridge Hospital.
Ralph was seen angrily confronting nurses at the facility after they failed to promptly attend to a critically ill patient he had brought for emergency treatment. He further accused them of neglecting the patient.
This incident, according to the management of the hospital, resulted in Rejoice Tsotsoo Bortei being physically assaulted by Ralph and other men.

On Monday, August 18, 2025, during a visit by the leadership of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives’ Association, Ms Tsotsoo claimed she had dislocated her shoulder and lost her mobile phone as a result of the physical assault she suffered.
Following this, the Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, set up the Ridge Hospital Assault Investigative Committee to probe the incident and make recommendations.
Ridge Hospital assault committee submits report
On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, the Ridge Hospital Assault Investigative Committee submitted its findings.
The report stated there was no medical evidence supporting the nurse’s claim of shoulder dislocation following the altercation with Ralph St. Williams.
According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, Tony Goodman, the incident at Ridge Hospital was caused by a clear lack of understanding of emergency protocols by Ralph St Williams and his team.

In a related development, YEN.com.gh reported that Ralph St. Williams was served a writ of summons by lawyers for Rejoice Tsotso Bortei.
According to the court documents circulating on social media, Rejoice sued him for GH¢7 Million, alleging assault and defamation.
Many people weighed in on the incident, while others shared their views after analysing the trading video, and others also advised her.
