In a video on X, Alhassan Zaah said working as a mortuary man makes one better understand how fleeting life can be.
“I took two bodies, one was from the children’s ward, about 11 years old. I was coming when this boy coughed. So, I packed and took the boy back to the ward and consulted with the senior nurse there. They put the boy back in a different room and treated him until he was discharged.”
“Another person they brought to the mortuary used the white bed sheet the following morning to ease himself. He was a Kanjara man. He went to his regular drinking spot, and the other men who were there ran away. Francis lived for about four or five years before finally dying,” he continued.
Aside from his experience with people who were wrongly pronounced dead, Alhassan Zaah said those who are dead also do some unbelievable things.
“Some dead bodies also change their position. You bring a body, cover it, and position it well. You’ll come the following day, and the cloth will have been removed, and the body will be lying in a different place.”
“To bring a body to the mortuary, if that person is wicked, he will put out the light. So I will push you on the stretcher, close the door, and go back. The dead person wants me to come inside, so he fights with me. No, I’m not the one who killed you,” he added.
