Prophet De Lighter Roja has risen to prominence in Ghana following an accurate doom prophecy about the late Defence Minister.
Dr Edward Kofi Omane Boamah and seven others were killed in a helicopter crash on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
The group, consisting of five high-ranking government officials and three air force officers, was aboard a Ghana Armed Forces Z-9 helicopter travelling from Accra to Obuasi.

It disappeared off radar some time after taking off from the capital city and was later discovered to have crashed near Sikaman, in the Adansi Akrofuom area of the Ashanti Region.
Aside from Omane Boamah, the Minister of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Ibrahim Murala Mohammed, Deputy National Security Coordinator, Limuna Muniru, Former Ashanti Regional Minister Dr Samuel Sarpong, and former NDC Parliamentary candidate for Obuasi East, Samuel Aboagye were also killed in the crash.
The three military personnel also lost their lives.
Prophet Roja delivers prophecy about Omane Boamah
A day before the August 6 crash, Prophet Roja shared a video on his TikTok page calling for the Defence Minister to call him for an urgent prophecy.
He said that anyone who knows Dr Omane Boamah should inform him so he can give him a call.
The Ghana Air Force Z-9 helicopter the politician was travelling in later crashed into the Sikaman Forest, leading to his death.

Roja immediately became a household name across the country and landed interviews with numerous media houses, during which he pointed to the tragedy as proof of his prophetic prowess.
He also shared more details of doom incidents he had foreseen about the country, including the impending deaths of two Presidents.

Reverend Obofour blasts Prophet Roja over prophecies
In a video seen by YEN.com.gh, Reverend Obofour, the founder and leader of the Anointed Palace Chapel (APC), addressed Prophet Roja and other doom prophets in the country.
He said if God shared a message with a prophet, it was their responsibility to seek out the subject of the prophecy to ensure that it is averted.
Obofour said that if they sat back for the tragedy to occur, only to use it to brag about their prophetic powers, then they brought pastors into disrepute.

Prophet Roja prophecies doom for David Dontoh
Previously, YEN.com.gh also reported that Prophet Roja prophesied doom for legendary Ghanaian actor David Dontoh.
He warned that the veteran actor needed prayers and stated that more deaths of prominent people were ahead.
Prophet Roja said there would be four funerals involving prominent personalities before the current year ended.
