Addressing his congregation, the NPP-aligned prophet said he had seen a vision of more deaths hitting the chamber before the end of this year.
The founder and leader of the Power Chapel Worldwide Ministries was a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral Project under the previous NPP government and continues to have close ties to the party.
Kusi Boateng shares dire warning for MPs
In a video seen by YEN.com.gh, Reverend Kusi Boateng said he had seen that despite the deaths of two MPs this year, there was more ahead.
He said that while it is not a good thing for a country to lose prominent individuals, he had received such a vision from the Lord and called for prayers to avert it.
“It’s not a blessing for a country to lose such prominent people, especially those holding the highest positions. God should have mercy on all our MPs. We don’t want any more deaths this year, because I have seen more sorrow engulfing this nation,” he said.
Reverend Kusi Boateng also said there are many spiritual happenings in the world, and everyone needs God’s protection against unforeseen tragedy.
Kusi Boateng pointed to the August 6 helicopter crash that killed eight people, including an MP, as an example
He said many of the original occupants of the helicopter declined the trip, which ended up saving their lives, an occurrence he attributed to spiritual protection.
“Five people were going to board a helicopter; President Mahama changed his mind, and Muntaka was stopped from boarding at the last minute. Sammy Gyamfi declined the trip a day earlier as he was travelling abroad, and Chairman (Asiedu Nketia) also refused to board. What led to Omane Boamah being the unlucky one who boarded the helicopter and ended up dying? Worship God well and let him protect you,” he said.
