The food bank, which was promised by the RNAQ Foundation set up by Ghanaian business mogul and philanthropist Richard Nii-Armah Quaye, has now been opened.
A video, which is trending and was sighted on the TikTok page of Gossips24 TV, showed a crowd standing anxiously in wait at the RNAQ Food Bank located in Ashaiman.

According to the post, 200 tickets are issued every day, and by 8 a.m. on August 1, 2025, the tickets had all been distributed.
Beneficiaries must hence be issued tickets to be eligible to enjoy the free meals
Another video on the Facebook page of Yussif Abdul Razak showed the long queues that had formed while waiting for their turn to be served the free meals.
The food bank initiative aims to support struggling individuals by providing a free meal.
In a post made on X on July 10, the business mogul stated that the rollout would begin soon, vowing to expand to other areas.
He said people would be able to visit the food bank and enjoy one meal a day.
“No one should ever go hungry. That’s why I’m launching Food Banks, safe spaces where anyone can eat one hot meal a day, completely free. We start soon. As long as I have strength, we’ll keep expanding,” he said.

In a video, the musician, Grace Ashly, has appealed to Richard Nii-Armah Quaye to support one of her upcoming projects, dubbed One Girl, One Pad.
The project is aimed at supporting girls who cannot afford sanitary pads.
