Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, widely known as Rudeboy, has announced plans to take legal action against a social media user who accused him of sexually assaulting a former domestic worker.

The artist, who strongly refuted the claims, described the allegation as false and defamatory.

The controversy surfaced after pictures from the 25th birthday celebration of Rudeboy’s wife, Ivy Ifeoma, spread across X (formerly Twitter). Online discussions initially centred on the couple’s 18-year age gap, but a user escalated the conversation by alleging that Rudeboy “raped/coerced” a young domestic worker. The individual further claimed that the incident led to his then-wife and her sister being asked to leave the house.

The post quickly gained traction, sparking debate and widespread reactions from the public.

In a strongly worded response on X, Rudeboy dismissed the accusations and vowed to pursue the matter legally.

“@chubbiedivah if you like go private, leave X!! I will find you. I will use every necessary means—power, resources, and money!!! You will face the law; I will use you to set an example!! … your only way out is to leave the surface of this earth and relocate to space. To everyone that brought my attention to her tweet … thank you,” he wrote.

His remarks have generated mixed opinions online. While some users applauded his decision to protect his reputation through legal means, others expressed unease about the tone of his message.

The case underscores the increasing tensions between celebrities and unverified claims on social media, where accusations can spread rapidly and trigger significant public debate.
