Ahead of the show, concerns were raised about the state of the stadium’s pitch. National Sports Authority boss Yaw Ampofo Ankrah clarified in a radio interview that while Sarkodie has been cleared to use the venue, strict rules are in place to protect the pitch. “Using the venue is permitted, the pitch is prohibited. If there’s any breach of this arrangement, there’ll be serious penalties,” he warned.

Sarkodie quickly reassured fans and authorities of his commitment to respecting the agreement. Taking to X he wrote: “💯 the rules were set from day 1 and we are not ready to break it.” With that assurance, anticipation continues to build for what promises to be a historic night of music in Kumasi.
