Popular artiste manager and entertainment pundit, Bullgod, has emphatically declared Shatta Wale as the undisputed king of dancehall in Ghana.

In a recent interview with George Quaye on Joy Prime, Bullgod was asked by a viewer to name who he believes is the true king of dancehall music, and without hesitation, he mentioned the ‘God Is Here’ hitmaker, Shatta Wale. According to him, Shatta Wale has been the most consistent figure in keeping authentic dancehall music alive over the years.

“Shatta Wale has been true to the genre. When the facts are there, you cannot deny, you know. He has it, and he’s championed it for a long time now.”  While acknowledging Stonebwoy’s remarkable achievements, Bullgod explained that he views the Bhim Nation president more as an Afro-Dancehall artiste than a pure dancehall act.

“Stonebwoy does amazingly well as well,” he noted. “But I don’t think Stonebwoy will go and sit somewhere and claim that title. He actually claims Afro-Dancehall, and when it comes to real dancehall, Shatta is on top.
