The government through the District Assemblies Common Fund, (DACF) has released some 13, 167, 736 million cedis for development projects within the three constituencies of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA)  

The Assembly, has therefore decided to invest in some 21 capital projects in line with the dictate of the Fund managers.  

Mr. Fredrick Faidoo, the Metropolitan Chief Executive at a symbolic sod cutting ceremony at Sekondi Model School noted how the government was bent on improving upon livelihoods and social amenities to make life more comfortable for the Ghanaian.   

The Assembly, would construct two CHPS Compound, drill 10 boreholes, paint their offices, fence a school, build public or school WCs, KG, Primary and JHS blocks as key and immediate interventions within the three constituencies.  

Mr. Faidoo, said, “we will bring development to the people and one that will affect your lives positively”.  

Mr Ben Aidoo, of the Assembly said all procurement processes had been duly carried out with contractors ready to take over sites for work to begin.
