U.S. President Donald Trump has confirmed that a suspect linked to the fatal shooting of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk is reportedly in custody.
Speaking on Fox & Friends, Trump said he learned of the arrest moments before the interview, noting that someone close to the suspect turned him in. While authorities have yet to officially confirm or release the individual’s identity, Trump praised law enforcement for what he called a “great job” in handling the case.

Kirk, a married father of two, was fatally shot in the neck while addressing mass shootings at a Utah university campus. The incident sparked a nationwide manhunt, with Trump stating that he hopes Kirk’s killer faces the death penalty. Officials are expected to provide further updates later today.
