“You are lucky you have weak leaders in our country. But one day, if this repeats itself, we shall also ban you. The time of colonial manipulation is over. Africa must note that Europe and the US are never its development partners ,and they don’t believe in mutual respect.”
@Ushasaai14

@popsy_king stated:
“Even if one offers me a free visa, I’m selling it to remain here in Ghana, not stepping foot there.”

US lifts visa restriction on Ghana
The visa restrictions, previously imposed in July 2025, had restricted Ghanaians to a maximum of three-month single-entry visas.
This policy change, which significantly limited travel and educational opportunities for many citizens, created concerns among the Ghanaian public and government.
In a new and promising update, Minister Ablakwa highlighted on September 26 that Ghanaians are now eligible for five-year multiple-entry visas and other enhanced consular privileges.

He underscored that this breakthrough was the result of months of high-level negotiations and dialogue, which ultimately strengthened the diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The restoration of these visa privileges is expected to facilitate greater people-to-people exchanges, enhance educational opportunities for students, and foster deeper economic ties between the United States and Ghana, marking a significant step forward in their bilateral relations.
