The hardworking minister stated that the United States has officially reversed its visa restrictions placed on Ghanaian citizens.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, Ablakwa outlined that Ghanaians will now have access to five-year multiple-entry visas, along with additional enhanced consular privileges that facilitate travel and diplomatic engagement.

This announcement came after an important bilateral meeting on September 26, 2025, during the United Nations General Assembly, where US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison conveyed the positive development.

Popular Ghanaian YouTuber, Wode Maya, known in private life as Berthold Kobby Winkler Ackon, has been offered a Diplomatic passport.
Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, made the official announcement on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, on his Facebook page.
Diplomatic passports in Ghana are typically reserved for government officials and diplomatic personnel on official business.
However, Wode Maya has proven himself a worthy ambassador of Ghana by promoting the country to the rest of the world, and for that reason, he deserves the diplomatic passport.

Okudzeto Ablakwa attends a book launch
Earlier, YEN.com.gh wrote about the wife of North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Nuhela Seidu, who stole the show at Kwesi Pratt Jr.’s book launch in Accra with her style and sophistication.
Among other notable personalities, President John Mahama, Haruna Iddrisu, Kweku Baako Jr., and Anas Aremeyaw Anas attended the star-studded event.
Nuhela, the daughter of the late MP Mumuni Abudu Seidu and has two children with Ablakwa.
