Ghanaian singer Wendy Shay has filed a formal complaint with the Ghana Police Service after a viral online video accused her of engaging in engaging in lesbian acts with Tracy Shay, the teenage girl who went viral for dancing to one of her songs and later became close to the artist.
The video featured a young man making what Wendy Shay describes as “insulting and baseless allegations,” including claims that a spiritualist had instructed her to perform sexual acts on the minor.
In response, the singer publicly appealed for help in identifying the individual behind the video and offered a GH₵5,000 reward. On November 19, 2025, she confirmed in an official statement that the man had been traced to the United Arab Emirates, where he is reportedly working with a construction company. She noted that authorities are taking “further steps through the appropriate channels” to ensure accountability.
